Capitalism is differentiated
from all previous modes of production by its universal essence - a condition
for the unification of the whole of humanity - and also by the simplification/exacerbation
of class contradiction: society is divided into two great enemy camps, two classes
in direct confrontation, the bourgeoisie and the proletariat.
Through its development, capitalism creates the
conditions for its own suppression, not only by creating the arms which will
wipe it off the planet, but also and above all, by producing and concentrating
those who will take up the arms: the proletariat.
